Mauricio Velandia with almost 30 years of experience in counseling and litigation in Competition Law and Arbitration.
Mauricio Velandia was in charge of competition law at the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce for four years. Subsequently, he opened his office to the public where he has advised the most important economic groups in Colombia.
In his career he has extensive experience in advising on negotiations of purchase of companies, mergers, configuration of distribution channels, attack of dominance positions, defense of markets, defense in cartelization investigations and unfair competition matters. The above in addition to litigation in this regard.
He has had the opportunity to close negotiations and settlements in the USA, Japan, Mexico and Germany.
For more than ten years he has been linked to competition law in Ecuador, being an advisor to different local and foreign companies.
He has been a professor at several universities in Colombia, Ecuador and Latin America.
