Ángeles Puente Karolys, is a partner of Falconi Puig Abogados, Head of the Anti-Piracy and Portfolio Management Departments. She has more than 18 years of national and international experience in the Intellectual Property area, including litigation and dispute resolution with emphasis in the field of industrial property.

Her experience and collaboration in anti-piracy matters with the country’s authorities, academia and clients, helps to combat the illicit trade of merchandise that infringes intellectual property rights and directly affects the consumer and its owners. During her career, Ángeles has won many legal actions to prevent counterfeit and pirated merchandise from entering the Ecuadorian market and to stop its commercialization.

As Head of the Portfolio Management Department, her practice focuses on advising on the proper protection and management of large portfolios of intangible assets of national and international companies, from small businesses to multinationals.
